March 26, 2 Samuel 8-10

King David is given much success as the Lord is with him. The King makes good on a vow made with his closest late friend Jonathon. How do you receive love?

March 25, 2 Samuel 5-7

The kingdoms unite, and David brings the Ark of the Covenant to Jerusalem. The prophet Nathan tells of the lasting dynasty of David and the coming Messiah.  Great stuff today

2 Samuel 1-4

David returns to Judah and becomes King.....of Judah....tune in for the rest of the story.

1 Samuel 27-31

David defects to Philistia momentarily and Saul's demise comes as his reign ends.

March 22, 1 Samuel 24-26

There is talk and then there is talk. Some talk with little meaning and some talk from the heart. David reveals his God lead heart as Saul reveals his words are meaningless in this episode as David spares Saul's life not once but twice. 

March 20, 1 Samuel 20-23

Jonathon and David renew their pact, and David goes into hiding. The Lord watches over His anointed one.

March 19, 1 Samuel 16-19

The newly anointed king defeats the giant Goliath, and plays the harp. Saul then tries to kill this successful before his time king.  Great stuff today.

March 18, 1 Samuel 13-15

King Saul makes a silly oath that has his warriors come to the aid of his son Jonathon despite Jonathon's military success. Saul loses his grip on the kingdom as he blatantly disobeys the Lord's command.

March 17, 1 Samuel 9-12

Saul is anointed king of the people of God. Hints of a divided kingdom are revealed and Saul gets his first major victory as king.  Yet, Samuel reminds the people to follow the Lord diligently with a major moving of the Lord in their presence.  Great stuff today.

March 16, 1 Samuel 4-7

The Ark of the Covenant is captured and the people demand a king. Samuel consults the Lord and the Lord has spoken.
