Ezra Summary

Today we get to see the return.  After 70 years the exiles get to return home, but it is their choice. Just like you and me, we get a choice.  Hear about the greatness of our God today!

2 Chronicles Summary

This speaks of the things we need to be sure we cleanse our temples of in order to gain favor with the Holy Lord God.  It gives us the reality of our God of second chances as well. Good stuff!

1 Chronicles Summary

1 Chronicles gives us the King David story from the viewpoint of a priest. Really good stuff!

2 Kings Summary

Elisha gets a double portion and the divided kingdoms are met with exile. While Hezekiah and Josiah try, Judah still is last to fall. 

I Kings Summary

Today we get to hear what Solomon wished for. We also meet one of the greatest prophet's of the time as he duels the false prophets and is victorious through the One True God in a might way.  Great stuff today!

2 Samuel Summary

As we celebrate the risen King today, we also close out the book that speaks of the greatest earthly king in King David.  Great stories of his rise and fall and rise again.  Similarly, he too began in Bethlehem and finished in Jerusalem. 

1 Samuel Summary

Great book introducing three main characters. We meet Samuel, Saul, and the one and only David.  Great stories in this first book of Samuel. 

Ruth Summary

Ruth and Naomi make a decision that is to trust the One True God and gives us the lineage of Christ.  Today we pay tribute to the important women in our lives as well.
