March 8, Judges 1-5

The Judges period begins as does the cycle. The readings from then still apply for today if we engage in them closely.  

March 6, Joshua 22-24

Joshua allows the eastern tribes to return and Phineas averts a civil war by seeking truth instead of speculating.  Joshua leaves his final words to the people.

March 5, Joshua 18-21

God's promises hold true and the land is completely under Israel's control. How great is our God!

March 4, Joshua 13-17

Joshua is reminded not all of the land has been conquered, yet he is still to included it in the divisions of land to be given out. God is wanting to see the trust in His people in each tribe. Do they/we trust the Word of the Lord?

March 3, Joshua 9-12

Joshua begins the conquest of the promised land but not before one group tricks him into protecting them. God has bigger plans and it all works out for His glory.

March 2, Joshua 6-8

The walls of Jericho come tumbling down at the trumpets blast. Achan is disobedient and cost the community the lives of 36 men.  God's plan proves to be more successful. 

March 1, Joshua 1-5

Joshua is encouraged and promised from the Lord. He leads the people into the land the Lord has promised and in doing so meets the Commander of the Lord's Army.  The story is super good!!

February 28, Deuteronomy 31-34

Moses tenure closes out with a song and transfer of leadership to Joshua as he overlooks the promised land from the top of Mount Nebo. Great stuff today.

February 27, Deuteronomy 27-30

Moses last of three sermons reveals the true heart of the people. Blessings abound for those that follow the Lord's covenant, and hardship is a reality for those who turn from the Lord. 

February 26, Deuteronomy 21-26

As Moses winds up his second sermon, he reminds the people to never forget where they came from as he delivers the intricate details of their civil law.
